snoopy is the brains and imagination of the peanuts world... charlie brown is the heart, linus is the soul... lucy is the antagonist, woodstock is the innocence, etc etc... they represent childhood, joys and stresses in a humorous, yet thought provoking manner... you just have your eyes (and mind) closed... you dont have to like snoopy, but no need in behaving like this...

Jees! Lighten up, that's like saying, whats the point of chocolate pudding? THERE IS NONE! That is why little children watch it, to enjoy themselves and take a break from real life. And by the way, someone's job is to make Snoopy TV shows.

It's for... people who can, as said above, enjoy the things in life that others don't. It's a comical show, not a soap opera or something like CSI or Lost. No offense, but you shouldn't judge Snoopy using murder show's and tragedy's standards.

Charles M. Schulz (also a psychiatrist) devised these characters to show various foibles and characteristics in life. Snoopy is a sort of quiet, getting things done character who gets occaisionally angry at HIS torment: Woodstock. So he does have a point in that show. If you don't like it, don't watch it.

Yes, there is lots of point to Snoopy, especially because if there was no Snoopy, there would be no Woodstock.

Lighten up a bit, the guy who wrote and illustrated it died for gods sakes.
It's just a little bit of light, cute humor. Nothing 'to' it just a little bit of sweetness to lighten the day. Nothing to get all bent out of shape about... Not everything in life has to have a 'point'.

lighten up and laugh a little. Charlie Brown is meant for people who can laugh at the stupid little things in life. If you're not one of those people, bug off those of us who are.

I guess you are referring to the comic strip "Peanuts" by Charles M. Schulz. First of all, you shouldn't take it too seriously, it's meant to be funny. However, fort those who choose to dig deeper, there are ocassional themes like depression, loneliness, and cruelty among children. Even with these serious themes, Schulz knows how to make light of it.
