Often in TV and movies they portray people taking drugs, usually illegal ones, in the form of eye drops. Any realistic basis for this? Can you absorb drugs through your eyes?

Sure you can absorb drugs through your eyes. I had an eye injury once and they made me take steroid eye drops; they were absorbed there.

well i am not big on taking drugs except the kind that are prescribed by doctors, however last week I scratched my eye and they had to give me antibiotics they worked. the eye lives and breathes also so I imagine acid or something can be made in to eyedrops to help people get that high that they dont get out of their dull an boring lives. However I chose to live and I can do so with out illegal drugs.

Yes you can. I have seen people use a drug called microdot. It is not liquid but a tiny yellow dot the size of a whitehead. And they stick it in their eye, in the lower eyelid. And it dissolves into the system faster I guess. It is sad to see people do any kind of drugs. But they do.

Some medicines are taken through the eyes. These are called ophthalmic medicines. Drugs can be absorbed through the eyes.

I don't know for sure, but when you see an opthamologist, you get eye drops to numb the eye and dialate the eye, it could be possible

you can put lsd tabs under ur eyelids - it means the drug gets into ur blood system a lot quicker

I herd you can with liquid acid (LSD). It will make you trip but I wouldn't recommend trying it.
