The Lyrics are Jim Morrison. Robby Krieger from The Doors wrote the music and the main idea for the chorus with Ray Manzarek adding some organ. It was one of the first songs they ever played together. 'And your love becomes a funeral pire' That is a Morrison lyric for sure!

It was written by Robby Krieger and Jim Morrison of The Doors. They performed it first. Jose's version came later.

I've never heard of a song called "Light My Firer". "Light my Fire", however, was written by Jim Morrison. Krieger & whatever other members may have done the music, but the lyrics, as far as I've been told, were by Morrison. Allmusic.com lists the composer as all the members of the band.
