a good anti virus program like norton would take spyware out or get spyware doctor.. instead of reformating or system restoring everytime it happens

DON'T use system restore/recovery! You will wipe out all your data, updates and personal files!
Run Adaware, Spybot Search and Destroy and if you don't have an antivirus program, download AVG Free version...it is good, free and can be scheduled to run at a preset time as well as "on access" scanning:)
