with those types of viruses, sometime they counter act the anti virus software making them useless. Even if you try downloading an on-line virus scan, the virus on your PC could keep that program from running.
First run a program called Webroot Spy Sweeper, (you can download a free trial) then try running the Norton Spyware Scan that you can download with the Yahoo tool bar. Then run your installed Virus Scan software followed by doing an On-Line virus scan by TrendMicro - House Call
"http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
If all that fails, you can try a program like: "HiJackThis" but unless you know what your doing, you might want to stay away from using it.
Best thing to do and easiest is to just back-up your files and do a complete Re-Install. If your working with Win XP, its as simple as doing a Non-Distructive Reinstall where you should not lose any of your files yet WinXP will reinstll basicly back to factory setting. If that fails to work, then go with the complete distructive backup where you will actually have a brand new machine. You will have to reinstall your printer software and any additional software not original with xp or your system.
A complete reinstall should only take a few hours but at least you'll have a new system to play on.
Finally, stay away from those porn sites. Chances are, thats how you got what you have to begin with.

Your browser has been hijacked, use these scans to remove it.
All of these are ones that I personally use and all are free.
AVG Removes I-Worm/Stration · BackDoor.Generic3.GBB and .GBC · Worm/Generic.FX · Exploit.WMF

Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S&D is free, so there's no harm giving it a try to see if something has invaded your computer.

I suggest that you try to carryout system restore to a day previous to the day when there was no such problems or virus. The problem is likely to be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at

ıf you are getting sudden pop-ups; and the conventional antispyware or such kind of programs didnt help you the reason may be the "messenger service" whicj has nothing to do with the normal MSN messeneger. here is the steps you should follow
1. click "start" and then click "run
2. type: services.msc and hit enter
3. when the services window opens , look for the "messenger" service
4. if it is active, you should deactivate it. because many popups are in your computer thanks to that service
