What can i buy my best friend who has everything?

For starters, I would think most people do want to be surprized for Christmas, and would like a gift that comes from the heart. So a gift card may not be appropriate for most people. But then again, she may like that.
Since she has everything, just buy her something she will appreciate, or something she will not expect. For example... a nice set of cocktail "tools", and/or an interesting book. If she likes reading, that is.
If she plans to travel somewhere, get her a comprehensive travel guide and a photo book.
And for a last resort, if you have time, you can always create a small and cute scrapbook with a trip you might have took together, or a party you went to.

Check out schemes such as Oxfam Unwrapped, where you choose a gift (e.g. a goat), which is sent to where it's needed in the developing world. Your friend gets a card & fridge magnet representing this act of charity! www.oxfamunwrapped.com
Also, could try making something - they can't possibly have it! e.g. a cd of all the songs u both love, or a photo album/book of experiences. Or plan a fun day out for the both of you (so you're giving up your time etc. & have put thought in!)

I'm always the kind of person who is broke around the holidays AND never knows what to get anybody. Somethings that helped me were
1.) candy baskets... simply, but lots of people like candy, pick your friend's favorite kind and add a few other kinds too!
2.) jewelry doodads if it's a girl
3.) favorite sport team stuff if it's a guy

If she has everything then the answer to what you can buy her is - Nothing.
Why not think about what you could give her - sentimental value becomes even more valuable when monetary value is inconsequential

Get her a scrapbook of the year 2006-any concert tickets you have that you guys went to together, pics of the two of you, etc.
