why, do we go for Good Looks, rather, than brains?

I go for a mix of both. There must be some physical chemistry but there also must be emotional and mental chemistry as well. If you're going just for looks, you'll be hard pressed to find complete happiness.

because it appeals to the "lets make pretty babies together" part of our brain. Plus, what one person calls good looking, another person would call average. The media also plays a huge impact on what we do and don't find attractive, which isn't surprising since we are bombarded by images of beauty since the day we are born. Good looks don't last forever and personality ALWAYS wins out in the end for me!!

Good looks are only a first, if the guy had bad manners, was boring, or spoke highly of himself (amongst various other things) then no amount of good looks could make him pretty!

Maybe you do but we all don't. I like an attractive woman too but if she's an idiot thats a complete turn-off.
