Do push ups and crunches, everyday. These will strengthen your core, your back, and your shoulders, which are all very important to swimming. Also, do shoulder exercises. Hold your arms out to your side in a t shape and do small arm circles forward and backward with your palms facing up, and then the same with your palms facing down. Handstands: start by using a wall and eventually work up to being able to balance on your hands without the wall, this will strengthen your shoulders and your core.
In the water, practice perfect form, fast flip turns, and long fast streamlines. And the best thing you can do is just keep going to practice and practice as hard as you can with good technique.

I have the same problem but I don't get waited on I mean I am usually just like a half a lap if that behind and I get lapped by the faster swimmers but its not that big of a deal you shouldnt care as long as your doing your best. My coach always yells at me because I breathe way to much but I can't help it because it feels like I'll drown so I breathe alot but you just have to practice and find the stroke that your good with. The only problem I have besides being the slowest is that I can't start off the block all that well but I have always sucked at diving so just work on it and dont let it bug you because that will kill your self esteem.
