Yep that is what it is. Babies are practicing breathing in the womb and can get an air bubble and get the hiccups. My children all got it and got it often. This is a good sign, it means she is developing her lungs well and will be healthier when she is born. Good luck.

Fetal Hiccups-
"I sometimes feel regular little spasms in my abdomen. Is this kicking, or a twich, or what?"
Believe it or not, your baby's probably got the hiccups, a phenomenon not uncommon among fetuses during the last half of pregnancy. Some get hiccups several times a day, every day. Others never get them at all. The same pattern my continue after birth.
But before you start holding a paper bag over your belly, You should know that hiccups don't cause the same discomforts in babies (in or out ot the uterus) as they do in adults, even when they last twenty minutes or more. So just relax and enjoy this little entertainment from within.

It probably is the hiccups. I am dealing with this one too...I am 39 weeks pregnant, and it seems like my son gets them at least 3 times a day. It's real cute at first. haha
Best of luck to you & your baby!

YES! It almost has the same sensation as hitting your finger, except without pain. The way it throbs consistently that is the way the hiccups feel to you when your baby has them!
Mother of 3 and one on the way!

If its done in a pattern, then it could be hiccups. My daughter used to do it daily at the same time in the womb. It was so cute to giggle about with my husband.

Hiccups in a fetus are very common. They're not not painful to the baby at all.
You can tell that they're hiccups by their rhythmic motion.

Yes, they can have hiccups. My daughter had hiccups almost daily. It feels just like when you hiccup only in your stomach.
