Not in the least pompous just an honest joe from a working class family. He always tells it like it is, never pushed himself into the limelight and has always stayed true to his roots. Loves his family!
I used to think that he was not a good actor, but of recent years have changed my opinion. And I hope that he gets an Oscar for his latest film role that is to released very shortly. He deserves it.
Never the Groom but always the Best Man. Now it's his turn to be the Groom.

Personally, I do not think of him as an actor. More as someone who gets paid for being himself. However, some people may think he is the greatest actor that ever lived. And, after all, we can all only give you our own opinions & no-one can say that an opinion is wrong.

Depends - his career is in phases.
60s - good and bad. Alfie probably the best point.
70s - all bad. See The Hand. Or don't see it, that would be better.
80s - getting better. Good villains - see Mona Lisa
90s - accepted as good actor again.
00s - English actorly royalty who can pick and choose parts.

Well i think the majority of answers agree with my view ,that he is a good actor,he has never shown me a side of himself, that was either over rated ,or pompous.
