Actually people should have mandatory classes in parenting.when they have children.good manners classes in school. But people have a right to be sloppy in there dress.but I miss the days when the Lady's and men would dress up Even to go to the store.they didn't go looking like trash.I think nudity should be legal in public.though.that would be a hoot.and be great for society.legalizes all drugs.junk foods should be outlawed.only fruits and vegetables. lean meats. sold. no sweets, no white flour products.Yes straight people should be allowed to marry, but not to divorce unless it is quite bad in there relationship.

I think it's funny that this question has gotten so much response. As for this being the stupidest question on yahoo, I think that honor goes to any question from a parent about their child's heath, i.e "my 5 year old has had a fever for 5 days, what should I do".
I also think it's funny how so many people got defensive when their own personal beliefs were challenged and stereotypes were made that included them, yet, their first response was to throw back equally untrue stereotypes in the other direction. Everyone needs to grow up, take a step back, and really think about what they are doing.
As to the original question: the divorce rate in the U.S is somewhere around 50%. And people should be required to take parenting classes, because each generation is getting more ignorant than the last.

Parenting classes for the masses? What a great idea! Testing for maturity and responsibility before allowing people to reproduce is another good one. Does that mean our politicians would never reproduce? :)
Ignore the stupid comments about gays. Anybody with half a brain will realize that gay people are generally just the same as anybody else. Some are dirtbags that don't deserve anything more than being stranded on a desert island but the majority are pretty good folks.

Im sure gay people fight too, and the gay men I know arnt fit,
they are all fat. and are poor dressers. The one is a father. he was a very bad father figure.
Every couple that want to get married or are married do need counceling though. The biggest problem in marriages is lack of communication.
How a person looks has nothing to do with having a good marriage.
you dont need to look hot to have a good marriiage.
how do you teach a class in how to raise children properly?
There are many ways children that are healthy, happy and productive citizens. but even in those childrens lives im sure they heard their parents argue at least once.

Well of course they should be able to marry. I like the idea of classes though. I've been married for 26 years, and never had any kids because we can't stand them. We've been able to travel all over the world, go out to eat without kids screaming and yelling. All in all I think we made the right decision in not having any rugrats. And no, I don't believe gays should be allowed to marry, but I have no problems with civil unions.

no, straight people are destroying the institution of marriage and the american family. there should be an amendment to the constitution to protect marriage from the straights
for the record I'm straight and I do think its stupid to ask if gay people should be allowed the same privileges as straight people like they arent people too. Do what you like. Many of the people campaining for the sanctity of marriage don't realize that straight people are doing far more to damage what marriage should be than gay people are. anyone seen the divorce rate in this country? Divorce is a bigger threat than gay people ever will be.

No...and neither should gays. They should only be able allowed to be boyfriend and gf, and have to adopt african babies before haviing their own kids. And they should have to take avery difficult test and get licensed before they are allowed to have kids and get married.
