yep, totally normal. my first one I saw the doc at about 10 weeks and for this one, I saw him at 8 1/2. make sure your hubby goes to because they usually don't tell you this, but most places will give you your first ultrasound then too. they didn't tell us that for the first one, so my husband missed out. but I was sure on this one, to have him come along.

Don't panic.. this is very normal... I am actually 12 weeks pregnant, and my first exam was when I was almost 10 weeks as well. This is when they can dtect the heartbeat of the baby... No worries, just be stress free and positive

Yep this is pretty typical. When I was pregnant with my daughter my doctor had me come in after 8 weeks. I asked him why and he said this was because after 8 weeks they can get an accurate measurement on an ultrasound. Before this it's hard to do.

That's normal. Until that time, the risk for spontaneous abortion or miscarriage is higher than it is as the pregnancy progresses. I didn't have my first exam until 12 weeks. Congratulations and good luck with everything!

Most OBGYNs wait until about 12 wks (at least in the USAF). If you're not sure of fertlization they see you a little sooner. Of course any problems/concerns call your doctor and they'll let you know if you need to be seen or not before your appt.

I had my first when I was 10 wks. The Dr said she rarely sees anyone before that time. I think it's very normal. Good luck! I'm 17 weeks now!
