It depends on what you are talking about.
If you are talking about someone who is qualified and can make you look good in your business, what difference does it make if she is sexy or beautiful?
This question by its very content sounds sexist and whether this was your intent or not, it will be read that way and ergo the answers you have so far.
If the position as a personal assistant is one that puts her in contact with the public representing you, even that doesn't justify suggesting she be sexy or beautiful.
Granted, it is possible that she might be highly qualified, plus be sexy and beautiful.
Anytime you start using the words sexy or beautiful in the connotation you are using here, it throws a red flag and you can't expect any rational woman to take it any other way.

A personal assistant, personal aide, or PA for short, is someone who assists in daily personal tasks. For example, a business person may have a personal assistant to help with their correspondence and run errands. The role of a personal assistant has expanded as the business environment has required more responsibilities. Today, a PA may be responsible for screening incoming calls, checking emails, reviewing documentation, sending mail, doing research, scheduling reservations, booking meetings, etc.
Personal assistants are no longer only available to the extremely wealthy or celebrities. Assistants who help with the management of schedules and errands for families in which both parents work are often called household managers. People who cannot afford to hire their own personal assistant to run errands or answer phone calls full time can hire a "Concierge Company" or part-time assistant to help manage their lifestyle.
Most companies offer secretarial personal assistance as well as basic assistant services like research, scheduling, travel arrangements, and more. Costs of a part-time employee can end up exceeding how much it would have cost to hire a full time employee. Other companies charge a flat monthly fee for personal assistant services, based upon the number of requests you think you will place each month. In addition to the personal assistant services that are provided with the membership, other incentives such as local discounts, concierge services, dining recommendations and overall knowledge and expertise may even outperform the skills of a regular personal assistant staff member
Some think the role of an assistant is to walk toe to toe with his employer down the red carpet; to participate in interviews and to become his employer's best friend and enjoy the perks that are stereotypically associated with being a celebrity. Others feel it is a position for sycophants and errand runners who go and get newspapers and scoop the dog poop from the front lawn. Both the former and latter are at face value wrong.
The PA's role is about leadership. The PA takes responsibility for much of the organization and coordination of his employer's lifestyle and business needs. It is a task that calls for tact, diplomacy and effective communication and organizational skills. A good PA makes an enormous contribution to his employer's effectiveness and requires numerous professional skills to be successful in this role. Today's PA must be “the barber, the baker and the candlestick maker......”

If she is sexy or beautiful, chances are that her life goal is NOT to be a Personal Assistant...And beauty and sexiness in someone working closely for you will only cause drama. Chances are, you'll be attracted to her, and you'll make her feel uncomfortable--can we say "Lawsuit, Sexual Harassment"?...and what if she starts to date your friends--can we say "drama"?
If I had the money to get an Assistant, they would be a humpback troll. They'd be somebody older, clean, and reliable.

A personal assistant is someone that your clients will talk to before you. You should want someone that will impress your clients with intelligence and beauty. Not only beauty. She could be really sexy but be as dumb as a door. So go for beauty and intelligence.

It depends. If you are in a profession that involves impressing people who are impressed by sexy and beautiful personal assistants, it makes sense. For example, if you are borderline con artist/agent to wannabe actors or athletes, her looks could help your image. If your p.a. is someone whom no one ever sees or if they don't care one way or another than her appearance could be a drawback in some ways. In this world, looks matter. Don't kid yourself.

You should hire a person who is #1 capable of doing the job.
Don't go for sexy and beautiful in an obvious way or it will distract yourself and your clients. It is important that she looks professional and isn't butt ugly. Appearances are important, more so that she isn't repugnant. Pleasing to look at would be sufficient. If you go for beautiful and sexy I believe your work wouldn't be as effecient.

If you hire someone on the basis of looks then you are guilty of discrimination. You will get sued.
Besides, do you want her to work or open her legs? Cos if you want her to open her legs then you don't need a pa, you need a hooker. You need the pa to make the appointment with the hooker and field the calls from your wife.

No of course not! You should hire someone, male or female, on past job experience and other stuff like that. Who cares if they are real good looking? Of course you shouldn't hire someone that doesn't take care of themselves (look not too nice because of not cleaning themselves and such). Sheesh.
