These are Braxton-Hicks contractions, preparing the baby for birth by pushing him into the birth canal...as long as you are getting tested/monitored for blood sugar (doctor might have you testing yourself with urine strips to monitor the level of sugar in the urine), and this is coming out alright, then you don't need to be concerned.
The contractions can be annoying and intense at times...but you should be able to tell between them and the real thing reasonably well.
Any concerns speak with your doctor...she doesn't want you getting your blood pressure out of joint over this so she'll be the best source to alleviate your concerns.
If growth, movement and your diet are all on track...relax and take care of yourself...you'll do fine and baby will be fine, your doctor is aware of everything and she seems to have you taken care of
Good luck and all the best

36 weeks is considered full term. 37 weeks isnt too early to have a baby. Although 40 is ideal.
Yes, theyre probably braxton hicks contractions, and theyre PERFECTLY normal for where you are in your pregnancy. You'll get them off and on for a couple weeks, they help prepare the cervix and move the baby into position.
Real contractions would cause labor to start. Things like, losing your mucus plug, your water breaking, or contractions that are organized and progressive (getting more intense and closer together over the span of an hour.)
You sound just fine. If you're concerned that its too early you can lay down and drink a big glass of water and wait for them to pass.
most women though prefer to help them, by walking or doing other light activities, since it makes labor easier later on.
If for some reason the doctor has advised you that 37 weeks is too early for your baby, then you should call him and just keep him informed about the situation. But since he has you scheduled for a c-section in a week or two, it must not be a concern.
:)

I think its just Braxton Hicks Contractions...I'm 34 weeks and I get those too...I read somewhere that false labor is when you feel contractions at the top of your belly but actual labor you feel in your lower abdomen...but I'm not sure...when I had my first, I didn't have contractions until after my water broke...and they started in the lower abdomen..like period cramps...

Yea the tightness is probably contractions getting ready to prepare your body for labor. You will be having a baby soon. Watch so when they get stronger and closer together you get to the hos. 37 weeks is fine. Your baby will be just fine!!!! GOODLUCK!!!!

could be braxton hicks contractions. You should time them and make sure that they don't occur 5-10 minutes apart in a one hour period and also try drinking water. If they don't subside seek medical attention.
