I'm in the same boat as you. My Dad just turned 81 and has everything you can imagine. He likes wildlife shows though, so I got him a National Geographic special on animals. You can Google "National Geographic" for the website. Or maybe your Dad likes old movies. Think about what he likes to watch on TV and get him a video or two.

I've just turned 44 and it seems like the best things for me are when something brings me back to the "Simple Times" I had as a kid. Usually songs do it pretty nicely. Ask your Dad what kind of music and songs he really likes. the stuff he was "Brought up on". Like the Beatles, Monkees, etc. tec. and get him some CD's.

Some older people are not that keen in getting presents. They enjoy more meeting the family and your presence, so keep this in mind and be there for him when he needed you or when he feels lonely

A trip to somewhere he's never been. If he's never been to Vegas it's perfect. You could go with him. In Vegas, age is a state of mind.

Maybe you could get him one of those tiny iPod shuffles. He would have fun sitting downand listening to the songs of his choice, plus those ones aren't that expensive.
