This is what I had done and it sure helped!
I talked with them, made it clear I was not interested but kept them on the phone. This takes up there time, they have to make 1000's of calls just to get one bite. Do this with several of them and they will mark you off if they are not using that dialer someone invented. It automatically dials numbers when you pick up is when it is activated then you get the telemarketer....
The automated ones (you no they have come up with those ones that sound like a real person and it is only a machine) you have to call the phone company for that I beleive....

If you tell them *politely* to take the number off of their list (i.e. remove this number from your system) telemarketers legally have to. If they call again, the owner of the company can press charges for harassment. Hope that helps.

Simply tell them, you have reached a business please remove this number from your calling list. You can also put the number on the no call list. Anyone can do this whether its a cell phone, home phone, or your business phone. You must use the phone you want on the no call list. The number is 1-888-382-1222

DO NOT............. Just say take me off of your call list tell them to put you on the National Do Not Call List. That will take up to 30 days to have your name put on the list, but it is well worth it in the long run. If they fail to put you on the National Do Not Call list I am sure you can take some sort of action against them.

You can actually call a number provided by the federal government to remove your phone numbers from these lists. If they call after that, it is a crime. I will look and see if I can find the number and get back at you.

You have to ask them for the information of where to send your Cease and Desist letter. If they still call after the letter are given, then they are breaking the law.
BTW: just politely telling them not to call anymore will not work.

Inform them they are calling a business and request that the number they called be removed from their list. Then go to the "do not call site and register" if they call again they can be reported to the FTC and fined.

The government just enacting a program called "can spam" or something to that effect. If you tell them to stop calling you they are obligated, by LAW, to stop calling you. If they continue calling they are subject to fines etc.

They are required to maintain a "Do not call" list. Say you are too busy to receive calls at work and you would like to be placed on their "Do not call" list.
