State your case for a rematch. I dont think you deserve it, but try and make a believer out of me. Why do you deserve it?

DeaconBlues01: that is a good point about the Week 2 thing, when OSU was going to possibly play Texas no one seemed to care that OSU beat them already. But still though, the BCS is largely affected by the Harris Pole and the coaches pole and the AP pole, and each voter can be placed in one of two groups, voting on merit or voting on match-up. and in this age, as far as the Chip goes, most at the end of the year would vote on match-up

The BCS was a system put in place to pit the #1 ranked team vs. the #2 ranked team, regardless of team, and regardless of record. If Michigan happens to be that #2 team in the BCS when all is said and done, the rematch will happen. It has nothing to do with "deserving" a rematch. The BCS was the system put into place, for better or for worse, and that's how the system operates.

If Michigan and Ohio State had played each other in Week 2 of the regular season, with the same result, would the "rematch" factor matter as much? I suspect not.

im not a michigan fan and i think that Michigan already had their shot at the Ohio State. Just because it was a close game doesnt mean that some other team doesnt deserve a shot at playing them. Ohio State proved that they could beat Michigan and we all know they could do it again. Now let a different team have a shot. The BCS sucks anyway. They need to have playoffs or something like they do in the college basketball with 64 teams.

LOL at us posting all the Buckeye questions. I'll take the liberty of answering this hehehe. I say give them a rematch and double the embarrasment when they lose. The game will not even be close. Notice that our victory came from alot of different players. If we decided to stick with any of those threats, and there is like 6, it would have been a blowout. Note Michigan fans, that any of those guys from OSU that scored could have scored all day, but Tressel likes to let alot of players get touches. Next time he wouldn't be so nice.

We don't need a stinking rematch. OSU won fair and square and is the #1 team. We'll see them this time next year in the Big House. And thank our lucky stars above - Troy Smith will be playing for the NFL and not OSU!!!

I'm not necessarily a Michigan fan, but I think that there are some conditions in which they would deserve it.

1) Michigan was the 2nd best in the nation, and losing to the best does not make them any worse, since "technically" everyone would lose to the best. Excluding games against Ohio State, Michigan has an undefeated record.

2) If USC loses to Notre Dame, than USC has lost, but Notre Dame still has too much to prove to jump ahead of Michigan. Also, Michigan wolloped Notre Dame earlier in the year.

3) If USC wins, they deserve it, since they had one of the roughest schedules.

i'm not a michigan fan, but here's what i'd like to see...

if michigan end up being the #2 team at the end of the season, then they should deserve a rematch. HOWEVER, it should be treated like a playoff, whereby michigan comes in from the loser's bracket. in order for them to become the national champions, they would have to beat ohio state TWICE!

if that doesn't happen (it really won't), then it will probably go to USC if they win-out.

Michigan is clearly the best one loss team and the point is if you Honestly want to see the best 2 teams play in the NC it would be a rematch

but in all fairness Mich had thier chance, yoiu have to give someone else thiers

if there is a rematch then this November 18th game would have ment nothing

Definitely -
Michigan is clearly the second best team in the country.
On a neutral field, OSU won't have an advantage and Mich will probably win.
On the other hand, if USC wins both of its remaining games decisively, then it probably deserves a shot.

Michigan played a great game and OSU handed them three chances on their side of the field to stay in the game. I look for whomever gets to play OSU in the desert to beat them. This usually happens when 1 plays 2 in a championship game.
