You don't need to use "G" at all. You are given the radius of the orbit. Calculate the circumference. Convert the years to seconds. Divide the circumference (in meters) by the period (in seconds), to get a speed in meters per second. Paula has the right idea, but the results are way wrong. The math is screwed up. The sun's speed is a LOT more than 8.06 * 10^-8 m/s, it's more like between 10 and 20 m/s.

Circumference of a circle:
C=2pi r
C=2pi (2.4)
C=(6.283185307)(2.4)
C=15.07964474
Circle
The circumference of a circle can be calculated from its diameter using the formula:
c = πd
Or, substituting the radius for the diameter:
c = 2πr
Where r is the radius and d is the diameter of the circle, and π (the Greek letter pi) is the constant 3.141 592 653 589 793...

Circumference = Pi * Diameter (or 2*radius)
Circumference = 3.14 * (2*2.4)
C= 3.14 * 4.8
C = 15.072

circumference of a circle = 2*pi*radius
therefore,
circumference = 4.8*pi
where pi= 3.1416
cirucmference = 15.07968
fyi...
the area of a circle is equal to pi*(radius)^2 (raised to the second power)

Circuference is pi x the diameter.
If the radius is 2.4, then the diameter is 4.8
The circumference is 4.8 x pi ~ 15.08

C = pi x diameter.
Radius x 2 = diameter, thereford
C = pi x (2 x radius)
C = approx 15.07 m
