I'm not sure if you want to get rid of height or bulkiness. Topping a palm tree isn't a good idea. It would make the plant look ugly and may can injury, to take off bulkiness, just get yourself a big sharp clean knife and start cutting at the widest point, until you are happy with the size of your plant. When you finish dab alittle hydrogen peroxide on the cut area, this will help to heal the wound. Hope I helped you.

I would look into designers choices for what size you need
keep. Aim for a size, and then snip off those roots, branches,
and whatever to get the size you like.

If you mean it's too tall, don't touch it!

Large ones are quite expensive. Sell the one you have and purchase a smaller one that is more appropriate in scale.
