No it won't. The test is looking for hCG in your urine. (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) Pregnancy tests contain monoclonal antibodies that bind wtih the hCG to indicate a positive result (negative result would indicate that there is no hCG present at all). Blood won't affect this in any way. However, pregnancy tests are ALWAYS most effective when used with your first urine in the morning. hCG tends to be higher concentration at this time. Good luck!

No, because the test is designed to detect only the pregnancy hormone, blood, alcohol, etc, will not affect the test. you will get accurate results regardless of the presence of blood as this has nothing to do with the actual hormone being detected
Check the information insert with the test. If you are spotting, you are likely starting your period, and are not preg, but if you are positive, then it is probably the embryo attaching itself to the wall of your uterus, see a doctor for your first prenatal check up

I don't think so, because the tests search for pregnancy hormones that are present in the urine, and also in the blood.

no, the home pregnancy tests needs to detect the pregnancy hormone..........if it's there then it will read positive...the only thing is that if you are not far enough along and there isn't enough of the hormeone oit may end up negative if you test too early. The blood won't matter.

If you are spotting now that means you are not pregnant. You just had a setback. So most likely you don't need to take the test.

It shouldn't effect it since the HPT is detecting the hormone HCG. Like the first responder said you could just be about to start your period.
