Was it the boogey man, monsters in the closet or under the bed, ghosts, goblins, the dark?

We have a ledgend here in San Angelo about a guy called the "mudman" who roams the cemetaries at night, looking for his lost love. To this day, I will not enter a cemetary after the sun sets.

Why not enter the cemetary? You should not be afraid, you're not his lost love in all likeliness unless you're a puddle. What I feared most as a kid was dying, but I made a pact with Hades that I shall live for 600 years. Fair isn't it. My girlfriend obviously gets the same deal. As a result, what I now fear most is a blonde.

There were three things I feared the most:

1. Porcelain dolls. The ones that look like real girls, my Mom had a whole bunch of them sitting in a couch beside my bed and every night I would cover them up, she thought it was cute until I told her that I covered them up because I was afraid of them.
2. Gizmo doll. After gremlings was out everyone had a Gizmo doll, and an urban legend said that if you left him alone he would come at night and get you. Scared the hell outta me, I got rid of him fast.
3. Leaving a tiny opening in my bedroom curtains through which I could see the yard. I always thought that something or someone might look into my room through there, I imagined red eyes looking at me and to this day I have to close them real tight, otherwise I can't go to sleep.

I would not hang any part of my body off the bed, cause I thought there was a saw that would come around at night and cut whatever off. I am still a little weary about it now and I am 30. Someone being under my bed, was my other fear, that one is still around some today too.

I was afraid of the dark for a short time. I remember being afraid of something or someone being under the bed. I would want to get out of bed and I would jump far off the bed because I was afraid something would grab my feet. Never afraid of anything in the closet.

I used to wake up in the night and think I heard someone in the house. I'd be too frightened to move so I'd lie perfectly still but with sweat just rolling off of me. Then after I was there for so long I'd start hearing my heart beat and then get myself totally freaked out.

I was afraid of everything as a kid. I actually thought cars were monsters looking to run over kids who didn't pay attention (guess you can say I had an overactive imagination). I was afraid of the dark, dogs, bugs...but my biggest fear was that something bad would happen to my parents.

Don't ask me why or where this came from, but when I was young I had a fear of an ant eater being under my bed and trying to eat my toes. Weird huh?

Dying

When I was young, I always got scared when a car drove by my house with really loud music. I always thought they were gangstas ready for a night of drivebys. As I grew up I realized that it didn't make any sense cause I always bump my music...
