Then he won't eat anymore, could it be his teeth that is making him act like this? other times he is happy and then starts screaming? I am not sure what to do to help him, I try tylenol and teething tablets but it does not seem like it helps is there anything else thats i can do to help him. he is also crewing on his hands. drooling alot too., Please help.

Could very well be teething. My son crys terribly when I know his little teeth are trying to come through and he has to suck on a bottle. But three months is awfully young too..... is the formula a problem possibly? We had to switch my son to reduced Lactose at this age and it helped tremendously.....but you did say he does this on breat too, so I am unsure - I was thinking it could be belly pains. The gel that you rub on the gums for nitetime use is stronger and seems to help better than Tylenol all of the time, and may be alot safer if this is indeed the problem. Is he getting enough out of the bottle/breast at one time to satisfy him before he gets upset?? My son screamed bloody murder at that age when we were using a slow flow nipple and he wasn't getting enough, combined with the fact that the lactose was affecting his tummy tremendously. Another thought would be to consider the foods that you are eating that is being passed to him, for tolerance sake - but if he is immediately crying when he starts to eat, then it would sound more like teething. When my son does this, he won't take a bottle, but yet we have to mix the formula with a bit of rice cereal and put it in one of those NUBY brand cups that has the soft plastic straw on it and he will suck that easier and doesn't cry. It is always a guessing game with little ones! Good luck, I don't know that I really provided much advice here :)

does the milk maybe not agree with him? Have you tried gas drops before he eats to settle his stomach? And if it is his teeth you might try those teething toys that vibrate and/or go in the fridge. Advil and/or Motrin is stronger than tylenol too which might help. If you don't mind the mess you could get some bitter biscuits which are hard and allow chewing on without dissolving or melting away.

My baby did that too. she is only bottle fed..shed cry at two ounces. What you need to do is burp the baby properly before you can feed him anymore. and if that doesnt work with my daughter id gently hold the bottle in her mouth when she cried and shed 30 seconds later start sucking again, i have to be firm yet gentle with her to make her finish her bottle. Now she eats like a maniac and its alot easiser. Also try rubbing the nipple on the top of his mouth, or place in on the top of his mouth, that worked for my baby.

sounds like teething. You might also check to make sure he doesnt have thrush.

It will pass in a week or so, at least the worst of it will. Forget tylenol and use motrin. tylenol doesnt reduce the swelling that causes the most of the pain.

Aw I bet it's his teeth. My cousin did the same thing. Keep using the teething tablets...there's also nighttime orajel that works well. Try rubbing his teeth with your finger when he screams. My cousin became soooo happy when we did that. I know it's rough, but remember it's only temporary. Teething can do a lot more than most people think. It can make him have a fever and feel sick aside from the pain.

DONT do the tabs do the gels they work better and they go right on the gums and works alot faster. Using the teething gels medicines work better they numb the gums faster then the tablets would. Maybe he does have gas so may mylcon drops try that too.

try a soy based formula. could be a milk allergy. if that doesn't work, call the doc. It could be teething, but he's young and my daughter could still find it in her to eat when she was hungry when she was teething. but it really sounds like a milk related problem.
