I went almost 3 weeks with no bowel movement when I was pregnant, it is mainly for the iron in your supplement (hopefully you are taking one), to avoid this (after you get this one out) you need to eat lots of greens, drink lots of water, but for immediate relief, 2 tblspoons of epsom salt in a cup of warm water will do the trick, yes, drink it (fast, its yucky but safe) and you will be purged within an hour or 2, dont stray far form a bathrooom as it is powerful stuff!

The only thing I can say is welcome to pregnancy and it only gets better from here but in the end it is so worth it...Try the normal home stuff that is baby safe but call your doctor and ask if there is anything you can do I know you may not have had much of a first visit yet but a call is probally all you'll need

add more fiber to your diet. As soon as the urge is there go for it. Dont hold it off at all or it will just go away. Are you taking Iron pills? these can cause this as well. But try adding fiber and also drinking a glass of fruit juice. Goodluck!!

Drink prune juice (even though it's gross!). I'm assuming you've probably tried the obvious thing of eating food with lots of fibre in it...so call the doctors and get their advice, but drink prune juice in the meantime.

When you get out of bed in the morning drink a glass of very cold water. It will stimulate your bowels. My Doctor told me this when I was pregnant with one of my five children. It worked for me!

Two words, PRUNE JUICE! Drink a few cupfuls, it will come out like a fire hose. I'm serious! No matter what is causing constipation, this stuff is amazing.

Talk to your doctor and see what you can take to relieve the problem. You cant take just anything while pregnant and it will only take a phone call to find out.

Please, please go see your Dr. ..I am NOT a dr. or any kind of health care professional, so please don't take my advice, but I am guessing that maybe the Dr. will tell you that you can take a natural source laxitive, (they are usually made from senna, and are just as effective as regular laxitives, but a bit less harsh on your system)...you must be feeling quite uncomfortable, so the sooner you get the issue you resolved you will feel alot better, good luck!
