Oh, I got this one!
According Forbes Magazine (ok, this was back in 2002, but I think it's still kinda true), Anniston, AL was the worst place in America to live. At that time, the fort in town had just closed, a class action lawsuit was being waged against a local chemical plant, and the nuclear weapons incinerator had just been built. Add to that the fact there is little job opportunity and pretty much nothing to do, and you have a winner.

I'm really only familiar with the west coast, and LA is the worst city out here due to smog, pollution, egotism, and urban sprawl. It has a lot of great point too, but the bad outweighs the good.

Havent been to all of them and I do not know what context you mean, education, crime, things to do, or what. But if I was going to give you an answer for a city I would'nt want to live in --Baltimore, Maryland comes to mind.
Let me amend my answer I would not want to raise a family in Baltimore City, the surrounding counties are not bad. The public education, crime is what brings down a otherwise nice city. Their are many higher learning institutions there that are excellent and for my profession---nursing their are many first rate hospitals to work.

Depends on your definition of "worst". The most dangerous city (in 2005) is St. Louis according to FBI stats.

definetly spartanburg sc. It sucks there is nothing to do and too much gang violence in other areas
