I thought it was kind of over the top for her to react that way... I would be upset if anyone put their hand over my mouth to "shut me up" regardless of their sexual orientation. I do enjoy Rosie O'Donnell though. I think she is a very smart woman, who is proud of who she is. There is nothing wrong with that. She takes a lot of crap from a lot of people and she just doesn't care. She doesn't conform or try to hide her feelings. I respect that. And THE VIEW pretty much sucked before she joined the cast.

who cares if she is gay but with a climate where people whose lifestyle is outside of the "norm" get flack all the time I can understand why they feel they need to stand up and not hide from the world like there is something wrong with them. If someone is gay or straight then cool... whatever... live your life and be a good person and not hate on people who are differnt from you... trouble is that it seems like there are an awful lot of people who still have issues with race, gender and sexual orientation etc... until people feel they can be treated with respect equally it is important for people to speak up.
