Doing voice overs is more than just a Deep Voice. YOu need theability to be understood, ro pronounce any word you come upon. YOu need to be able to change your voice to match the need of the employer.

To get started, however, you can get yourself a tape, showing off your talents. this is called a Demo Tape. You will need many of these to hand out and to mail out to prospective employer.

Next, call a few recording studios in the Yellow Pages and ask if they use 'studio talent' for voice over work. If so, ask if you can send a demo tape (Be sure to get the NAME of the person who will receive the tape. You want to send it to the person who makes hiring decisions.)

Be warned, you are not alone in this business. ANd again, having a nice voice means nothing when compared to talented individuals who can do accents, impersonations, dialects and change their voice as needed.
