I am 35 weeks pregnant and I didn't think I would get stretch marks...I was so happy. Well about 2 weeks ago I noticed a little red line on my lower belly and I almost cried then about 3 days ago I noticed some more in the same area. I'm praying I don't get anymore! Good Luck. Some people get them and some don't.

You are lucky :) I got my first stretch mark at 5 months!! And now they are horrible...probably worse than you could imagine! The whole front of my belly, thighs, and sides are covered in them! Stretch marks can be genetic, so figure if your mom got them, you might also. All the women in my family got them bad...so I guess I was doomed even before I got pregnant! They don't always show up right away...so you might get them in your last month, or even last few weeks. My friend just had her first baby and she thought she wasn't going to get any, since by her 38th week she didn't have any...but right at the end, about 4 poped up! So...you never know. I hope for your sake you don't get any...they aren't fun! Just keep lathered up in lotion...that's all you can do!

Good luck and congrats on the baby :)

It's hard to say. I didn't have a single stretch mark until 36 weeks when my baby dropped, and all of the sudden I had some. But you might not get any. I will tell them that it's actually not a huge deal to have stretch marks. They fade over time.

Most women get the stretch marks after, not before. You should be rubbing your tummy with stretch marks cream by Palmers all this time.

probably not, stretch marks are hereditary, so if yoru mom doesn't have any - you just might not get them either. BUT at the same time, it's still not to late, you can get stretch marks AFTER the baby is out.

My first stretch mark showed up two weeks before I delivered, but you are lucky as you shouldnt see many now. i only had the few that showed up then.

i'm 38 weeks. i'm praying i don't get any these last 2 weeks! i've been using cocoa butter from plamers since i found out i was pregnant and i really think it has helped me. i didn't think i'd get any until my boyfriend pointed out the 4 or 5 on my butt!!! atleast i can cover them!! lol. good luck. i'm sure you won't get them if you haven't already.
also ii dont really know if they are hereditary b/c my mom has a lot of them on her belly and i dont. so its hard to say!
anyway, good luck and congrats

I thought the same thing until my boyfriend seen some on the back of my thighs by my butt. Just because they aren't on your stomach doesn't mean you won't get them. I've also read that they are hereditary. Does your mom have them?
You may just be lucky and not get any!! :-)
