Any of the "Trans Siberian Orchestra" Christmas albums are fantastic...and very upbeat. Some original songs and some great covers of your favorite holiday songs...I highly recommend them all.

MercyMe has a really fun, loud Christmas cd. I know they're a Christian band so if you're not familiar with them you might get the impression that they'd be all gospel-ly or something. BUT, I would almost consider myself a Christmas cd afficiondo (I swear I'll buy anything that seems Christmas-y) and this is the best fun cd with upbeat music.

I'm not at home, so, I can't give you the title, but one of the best Xmas albums in my collection is one I picked up at a Starbucks coffee shop.

It was basically an international-themed set of Xmas carols. They are traditional songs, done in other languages, some with very special and lively beats, such as those done in Latin and African rythyms.

I don't know if they still sell it, but it may be worth checking out.

Another I own is titled "Ladies of Christmas." I don't know what label, but it has several big name female artists covering traditional carols.

Don't buy compilations - there's always a few crappy songs on them. You should make ur own one on itunes - far easier, and you get all ur favourite ones with none of the rubbish!!!
