What can I feed my Brine Shrimp that won't kill them???
I've heard yeast is a source but I've also heard it can kill them.

I've heard several options. I personally crumble a fish food flake, for the irony... since I feed them back to fish anyway. ;)

*Spirulina flakes/powder (algae basically, or crumbled algae wafers)

*Crumble a fish food flake really finely to powder

*Bits of egg yolk

*Brewer's yeast

I usually start my brine shrimp colonies by using water from my fishtank right before a cleaning, so it has some gunk or floating algae to begin with. Then I add a half-cup or so per twoliter extra of kosher or sea salt (without any additives, basically) and put the brine shrimp in. So they have some little bits to feed on once they're out.

Though if the water gets really, really cloudy it means there's more than enough food in there, so to stop feeding for a day or two, until it clears up some.

And the first couple days, they don't eat, since they're attached to their yolk sac still.

If you have flake food just grind it up and drop a small amount in the tank/container. You dont want to put too much that it will foul the water.

they love algea, i would go to wal-mart and get food that lists its main ingredient as algea, or some kind of green plant. this will make them happy and have babies.
