You have to set up "playlists" in iTunes. This way, you can choose which playlist you want your shuffle updated with. If you don't want a song on your shuffle, take it off of the play list. The only way to change songs on any iPod is by connecting it to the computer and pulling up iTunes. Hope this helps.

Go to your ipod shuffle device in iTunes.
Click on Summary and on the next screen, click the box next to Manually manage music .
Now, look at the Music on the Shuffle.
Highlight and hit to erase songs off the Shuffle.
Highlight and drag songs from your library to the Shuffle.
You can still use autofill and tell iTunes which folders to fill from when you Manually manage music .

hook it up to the computer and ipod or itunes should pop and click on the one that says ipod and delete watevr u dont want

well i had one until i got the nano and i would delete the songs off the playlist if i didnt want a song on there n-e-more

u need to go to itunes section and uncheck the songs u don't want. your friend should of given u cd or a website u go to so that u can do this.
