Boot from floppy or CD, complete with system and format etc.
Then format drive.
Now write a little batch file like this - called batch.bat
copy d:bigfile.avi >> c:\hugefile
batch
This will keep adding to a gigantic file on drive C until such time a the disk is full (thus making it all but impossible to get back what WAS on the drive before.
You can now delete c:\hugefile if you wish

Everything, or just the tracks you left that you don't want followed? There is no way to positivly remove all of your tracks if someone brings in a good forensic specialist.
If I were you, I'd back up important data, and format the hard drive with a low level format one night before you go home. THe next day, call the IT guy and say: "I just turned it one and it doesn't work. It was fine yesterday".
He'll reformat your system and unless you're a serial killer and the FBI gets ahold of the machine, you'll be safe.
The hard part is not going back to same sites again!

Do you have the recovery disk that came with the computer? If so you can use that and it will take your computer to the original stage it was when it was purchased, if you don't have a recovery disk you can always try to manually do it yourself click the start, go to programs, from there go to accessories, then system tools, then system restore, if that doesn't work you can always, go to the control panel and delete all programs as a start, try that if you need more help just email me.

format c: will not erase everything on the computer. Data can still be recovered after formatting a hard drive.
If you want to really erase the data on your computer, follow the steps found in this blog entry:

Install partionmagic software on your PC.Now delete all the drives except your Booting drive. And again rebuild them in any arrangement as u want. Now after restarting the task will be completed. You also get a formatting option while installing windows .U can use that method too.You can delete the booting drive in the same way while installing windows.

You all seem to think that is possible at work. Depending on where you work, they will block access to deleting files. It depends on what type of files you are trying to delete. If it is pages on the internet, then delete from history, tempory files, and cookies. Normally, on a work computer, if you can put it on the computer, you can take it off. So if you specify what type of files you are trying to delete, then you can get a better answer.

Go into INTERNET EXPLORER...click on history. The list will appear and you can delete whatever things you wish, or all of it...then go to disk clean up and run that...be sure to empty trash.
