It all depends... I had an emergency c-section, and so there was a lot of air and gas bubbles in my stomach- my stomach took a while to go down, but because of the surgery, I lost 28lbs in the first 2 weeks- not being able to eat much for a while was the big reason. Since then, I lost another 10lbs within the next few months- my son is 13 months... I gained a total of 39lbs and lost all but a pound... hope to lose some more... but I'm stuck for now lol. Just remember it takes 9 months for you to gain it, so it should take at least that to lose it, if not longer for some.

If you are 20, chances are you will bounce back in pretty good time. HOWEVER, DO NOT expect to walk out of the hospital 35 pounds lighter.... They say you can expect to lose 10-15 pounds by giving birth.....7-8 pounds for the baby...the rest for extra fluid and blood... Your stomach will still be out of shape...The good news is, you will be back to your normal size shortly. I am "allot" older than you and I had my first baby 8 months ago. I took very good care of myself and ate healthy while I was pregnant. By the end of the first month I looked pretty good and could fit back into MOST of my clothes....I have rediscovered all my old clothes now and am finding that they fit...my shape changed a bit but I weigh the exact same thing I did before getting pregnant..... Just focus on being healthy...and do not skimp on eating while breastfeeding...You and your baby need the extra energy. Also, one thing that helped me lose the extra weight after I had my son....I ate a bowl of raisin bran for breakfast every morning....

When leaving the hospital you should see around a 10lb weight loss. Baby, placenta, and water weight. Now depending on how large the baby is, and how much water weight you have that number could rise. I gained 100lbs with my first child and lost 25 of it the next day. Everyone's body if different, and with only 35lbs of gain and breast feeding you should be back to normal weight shortly!

I lost about 15-20 lbs with each baby. Remember that it took you about 10 months to gain this weight and might take that long to loose it. Depends on your metabolism. You may also have gained weight/fat rolls that will be harder to loose. There is also a rumor that with every child; you may not be able to "loose" about 5 lbs. With a healthy diet and exercise you should be good!!! Good luck with weight loss!!!

Not as much as you would hope generally. Probably about 10-15 pounds immediately after delivery - before you go home from the hospital. The rest will come off quickly though if you are going to nurse and if you do not increase your food intake much.

It really all depends on how much you gain, and what kind of weight it is...

I walked out of the hospital 47 lbs. lighter than when I went in. (NO, it is not an exaggeration).

But, I had gained like 70 lbs... soooo...

It just depends!

And the rest of that weight came off in about 2 months!
