Lol, these 4 companies hire the best, and they are the best ( rumors)
The big four are:
The members of the Big 4 are PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, Ernst & Young and KPMG.
Deloitte and Touche seem to be a prize company to work for. Listen to this
One of the world's leading professional services organizations, Deloitte also has a deserved reputation as a lifestyle firm, ranking highly as one of Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For.

Hmmm, there is a website on Vault.com where they discussed the big 4 and how to get jobs there

Big 4 - KPMG, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young. They are also knows as the "final four." They are the last of the big national accounting firms in the country. Was known as the big 5 untill Authur Anderson was taken down by Enron.
Unless you have a a bachelors degree in accounting, I think it would be pretty hard to get a job with one of them. Usually they will recruit at schools across the country. But you can always just send them a resume.

There are four major accounting firms in the United States (and the world): Ernst & Young, Price Waterhouse Coopers, KPMG, and Delloitte & Touche. Hence, "the big four." There used to be eight large firms, but they've either merged into the big four or gone out of business (see Arthur Anderson)
