I live paycheck to paycheck and I totally believe that money isn't everything. You should really go to the "rich" people's houses and stay with them for a week. You will agree money isn't everything. The more you have, the more you spend on things you don't need. Once you get older and live in the real world, you will see this to be more and more true. Thank you.

I think you made a true statement, perhaps they say that because they do have money and everything. I, for one am not rich. I live an average lifestyle that I'm truly grateful for. However, I do feel that money is essential to life because money makes things happen but I feel it isn't everything, nor does it define me. When we die, all our money and material possessions get left behind. If one has only money and material things than I feel sorry for that person because they have nothing. Family, love. friendship, and so on are the richest treasures in this life Just because one is enriched with money, does not mean they're enriched in life. If you're unhappy in your current financial status, then seek solutions to your current situation and some self-esteem might do you good!!

I don't have any money and I agree Money isn't everything. You say you don't have a good family so that probably gets you down but surely you have at least one someone you can trust and call friend. Even an online friend that you chat with. Don't be so down on yourself. You don't have to be beautiful or smart ro anything else. Just be you. You probably are all of those things you just don't see it. Money is NOT everything. Respect for yourself IS everything.

I hate to disagree with you... personally in my life, I have never seen or heard a single person who is rich, say... "Money isn't everything". In fact I have only seen a few of those rich trying to show off as if they have the entire world in their hands, often forgetting that money is not a permanent factor and it can go off your hands as easily as it had got in!
This world is in an illusion that if you have money you have everything!. I truly don't agree with it, but neither do I agree with the fact that you can do well, without it. You need money for your very existence today... though money is not the most important factor of life!

Hi,
Money is very important to live a reasonably good life.
Please earn your money yourself with "the right and noble way".
Do not over spend.
Do not depend on others to give you "a lot of money".
Make a good career for yourself, save money, however little you can and don't get into Credit traps a lot.
Then slowly you will be able to make your life happier and you will get financial security.
Do not get into traps of swindlers while you are saving and growing your money.
Money is very essential.
It is a basic need of every human being.
But somehow money is not everything.
Thanks hon. for 2 points on yahoo!answers.
Take care,

Understood.
Maybe they have money and they're telling you -- it isn't everything.
They're the experts of having money.
Of course money contributes to well-being. It might even be decisive. But it isn't everything. Money for its own sake is a stupid goal. But that's exactly what tasteless social climbers have in mind-- 'the bling'
Or they just want you out of their face and will tell you white lies.
Or they aren't rich at all-- do you know any such people?
Mostly I see the poor saying 'money isn't everything'
because they need to validate their simple, miserable lives.

They've come to realize that more money doesn't make them any happier.
Also, maybe they take it for granted that they are not poor. Money isn't everything of course, but it obviously is something, because without it, people starve.
Money is of some importance, but it isn't all important.
I think the happiest people are middle class.

I'm not rich, and I say it. I'm not even well off. In fact, I'm poor. I struggle to make the bills and I live paycheck to paycheck. Money hasn't brought happiness to the rich people who say it isn't everything. That's why they say it. The only people who believe that money is everything are the people who already have everything else they want and they are already happy except for not having money.

Money isn't everything and I'm poor. What is meant by that expression is that are more important things than money. Among the most important is the abilty to make money.
