IF you can get access to his office / desk etc without being seen (and assuming there are several folks in the office) then simply leaving a bar of soap and a can of anti-perspirant on his desk my well do the job.

If he catches you leaving them there though it could be painfully embrassing for both of you.

Failing that, type out a note like "You're a great guy but please hop in the shower before coming to work" and pop it under his winowscreen wipers?

Have you thought of inviting him to join an water aerobics class that may be available at the local Pool. or some other water sport, like swimming, water polo etc. Yes indeed some boys and men have an aversion to water and or cleanliness I wonder if gifts of body wash nice shampoos for men even body moisturizers would give him a hint, to go and take a nice warm shower Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving

Tell your boss that you would like the office to have a meeting or pass out an email about office rules when it comes to things such as respect for others and personal hygiene. Tell your boss that there is someone in the office who smells bad and maybe he/she will get the hint.

We had a stinky co-worker -not boss- a few years ago, and we had his assistant put deodorant in his desk drawer. It didn't help- he still had b.o. Finially, a girl who sat next to him, asked him if he got the deodorant, and he said yes. She asked him why have'nt you used it? He said, oh, I thought it was a practical joke.
But seriously, I don't think you can tell your boss to take a shower and it's not really your place to. Maybe you could let someone who is an equal to him know there is a problem and they can talk to him.

Stinky people don't usually know they stink, so if your boss can't smell himself he likely has a deficiency in zinc. Leave a bottle of zinc on his desk and make sure somehow he finds out that men need lots of zinc for a healthy prostrate. A man will take action if he thinks his sex life is at risk.

WOW that's a tuff one. Because if your not careful you will lose your job. WRITE an letter, dont sign it. WRITE it as tho your a customer. DO NT do it in your hand writing.AND dont act guilty either. OR BETTER yet have a friend write him one.BUT if that friend turns on you, they will rat on you too. OR if he has an answering machine put a message on the machine an muffle your voice. OTHER WISE. GET BRAVE AND TELL HIM FLAT OUT. BUT EXPERIENCE tells me that you will lose your job. IF NOT TODAY down the road. SO IF YOU CANT DO ANY OF THOSE THINGS JUST LET IT GO ! ! !! !
