I have seen this a lot lately. I have at least 3 friends who are dating (that's what they call it) married women. Each have been seeing these women for over a year. Although they are hoping the women get out of their marriages, it is not happening. From what I see, these 3 women are all married to successful, financially stable men. They are all 3 very "comfortable" driving new vehicles, living in newer homes, and having shopping sprees on credit cards that they don't have to pay. So why would they stay? One word: security. They have their cake and eat it too. Despite maybe not loving their spouse, they are not about to give up all the "fringe benefits" of their marriages, especially when they can get what they need sexually from some guy who has pipe dreams of stealing her away from her husband.

Because she is a coward and afraid to face her husband tell him the truth and strike out on her own. She wants the comfort of being in stable relationship but just not with him.
