Jeez, what happened to Michael Richards? He just totally lost it. He was my favorite Seinfield character but now I have a lower opinion of him. His racist comments were in the back of my mind when I watched a rerun of Seinfield last night.

I am not black... I watched the incident, the weak apology and Sinbad's comments regarding the issue.

Richard's apology was terrible. I can tell he feels bad but its more like he feels bad for showing his true colors and nuking his future prospects for any kind of entertainment opportunity than feeling bad for what was said.

That said the NAACP's response was ignorant too. One gentleman said "We need to have open dialogue".

There will always be idiots and ignorant people!

- Hispanic Female here.

Since the apology is not directed toward me I guess I can neither accept or deny it.

I do think what he said was wrong OBVIOUSLY but I can understand where he was coming from. When we get into arguments with people but i mean real anger and loathing arguments we want to find the one thing that will win the argument, How can I hurt you, basically. That's what he did he was having an argument and he found the one comment that could hurt the audience member. I'm not saying it was right of him to say that but that's what happens in an argument.

Should we get against the audience member for calling him a cracker? That's a racist remark as well.

I believe he is sorry for saying what he did. I believe he is not racist but did make racist remarks.

Unfortunately it does change the way we look at him and his character on seinfeld which sucks because I love that show and now it'll carry that negative moment forever.

No I do not, because he was on a successful show in which he garnered many a black fan, my friends and I talked about seinfeld on a regular, we`re true hip hop fans who did not feel a show like seinfeld in anyway had to seem like a show that needed to be some way about black folk, we understood the show and loved it, found it very funny, in my opinion, it would`nt have been the same show without kramer, after seeing that, I wish he really was kramer and not richards, whats sad is the brothas in the audience could`ve jumped on stage and whupped his ***, but instead showed we are civil, you know what I`d like to see, every white audience member there who felt appalled, continue to cry foul until every network in America touch on this once and for all.

I dont accept his apology because when he was angry, his true emotion towards black people came out. I used to be a fan of his when he was on Seinfield, but now he's just a tired old comic to me.

I am not a black guy. I am a white gal. But I don't accept his apology. They say the truth comes out in anger and alcohol. He was my favorite on the Seinfield series, but not anymore.

He definitely crossed the line, but I accept his apology. Why stay mad at him? Some people who make racist comments in anger don't apologize and are outwardly racist, so I'm not bitter at him at all. Seinfeld is still my favorite show. I will look at him differently now, but I hold no grudge if he apologized.
