Don't worry about it, read what the prof has to say about it, and make your next one better. You wouldn't need college if you already knew it all.

Any work you turn in and get graded, such as your essay, will be counted towards your final grade in that class. And whether or not you pass your classes will affect your final degree, since you must pass a certain number of classes. So, yes, in an indirect sense your essay "counts" towards your degree.

However, since this is just your first year of school and you have at least four years total, I think you should relax a little bit or you will die of stress before graduation day! If you got a bad grade on your essay, determine by reading the professor's comments or by talking to your professor directly what it is you can do to improve on your next essay, then spend your energy on improving your writing skills rather than freaking out about your degree. I say that not to be mean, but from experience!

Good luck.

It depends how much that one essay counts towards your final grade in that class, but no, you have a lotmore classes and 3 more years worth of grades to average in. Don't worry so much!

I assume you got a less than excellent grade on this. If you dig into the details of why it was not what the teacher expected and show huge improvement, it is more than likely the prof will reward your effort and improvement with a good final grade.

The most basic answer to why we need an economic system is to develop a way to distribute the limited amount of resources to the all the people. Who gets the car? The person who pays for it does. Who gets paid for making the car? The person who works to make it. That is the economic system in a nut shell. With out a system who would get what? Now expand....

Unless your professor told you otherwise, all of the work that you submit will be counted. If you are having writing problems, at almost any university there will be a writing lab to help students with their writing.
