i don't remember seeing thou shalt not covet your neighbors wife, ignore the sabbath, dishonor your parents, commit adultery, or take the lord's name in vain in the Constitution ,do you?
And i also don't recall the ten commandments stating to create a republic separate by an executive , legislative and a judicial branch, do you?

Probably because people think that when our forefathers wrote the constitution way back when, that it was so important and everything was right and had to be the law of the land as thought it's the ten commandments because some people think it's that serious and despite that being a different time era some feel those individuals had the best mindset and could forsee the problems and issues we're faced with in America today.

I have never heard that; but I may be in different social circles than you.
The reason however is obvious they have never read both documents.
Neither is an exhaustive read only a few pages for the Constitution and a single page for the big 10. So we come to Illiteracy or lazy.
Let's just call it poor study habits.

I don't know why someone would say something like that. They are the not the same thing. The Ten commandments are the laws God gave, but the constitution is man made laws.
