I would say that your home schooling is failing you. Those of us who went to public school didn't get the luxury a lying around until noon in our PJ's. It appears to me that you are learning to be a drain on society instead of a benefit to it. Quit your bellyaching and get dressed and act like a responsible individual. Whether you feel like it or not has absolutely nothing to do with character. I am up by 6:00, dressed and have had breakfast by 7:00, chores done and out the door by 7:30, at work by 7:50. I was NEVER late to school and in 35 years, I have never been late for work. And I have only missed 1 day in 35 years because I was sick. Oh, I was sick many days, but I went to work anyway because people were counting on me. Young lady, it's time for you to grow up.

Actually, I am too, but it's because I got straight up and starting working on my research project draft due tonight at midnight (for an online graduate course). I'll be devoting my whole day to it, so I may just wear sweats all day (but I do plan on showering later).

right now, I'm in school(college) taking a break before I go to my next class which is at 2:00 (1:00 your time). If you really want to motivate yourself, you need to set some goals that can be accomplished each day. They don't have to be big goals such as preparing for Thanksgiving straight down to the finest details. Make a small goal which is easy for you to accomplish, like getting up at a certain time, let's say around 9:00 and getting yourself ready for the day. That's a small goal right there.
To get away from the computer for a few hours, why not do some exercising , such as jogging or lifting some light weights or better yet, find yourself a small hobby that is interesting to you. For example, since we are getting close to Christmas, why not make some Christmas decorations, like ornaments which you can hang on your Christmas tree.
Here's my morning routine Mon - Thur (School days)
6:30 get up
6:35 shower
7:10 eat breakfast
8:15 leave to go to school
9:00 - 4:00 class hours (2 classes each day)
5:00 come home, relax and work on homework
9:00 Homework is finished, do a quick review for any test coming up
9:30 chill online and eat dinner
10:30 or 11:00 bed time

Well I am not like you and home schooled so I was up and ready at 6am! If you don't like getting ready a lot just take a shower at night and then style your hair thats what I do most of the time. I wake up go in the bathroom brush my hair and teeth. Then I get some jeans and a cute shirt on. I go down to my computer get on aim and talk to my boyfriend while eatting pop-tarts. I know it is an exciting morning!

I know what you mean, I'm homeschooled too and it's really hard to get motivated. Most people think "wow! thats awesome that you get to lounge around in your pj's all day everyday!" but it really does get old and your self esteem starts to go down because you don't take care of yourself as well as you would if you had to go somewhere. I'm still in my pj's.....but my homeschooling is so hard that I really only have time to shower. It sucks!!!

Yep. I stay in my pj's till I have to go somewhere. Comfy. As for breakfast? I don't like eating much early, so I make a pep up drink, a blended drink of fruit, omega 3, and soy milk. Occasionally add a powdered protein.

I'm still in my nightgown, robe & slippers & it is 1:45pm. I haven't brushed my hair or teeth yet (but will as soon as I've answered this question). I haven't even eaten yet! I spent at least an hour trying to figure out why I couldn't get onto the Internet. Moved my computer & cleaned everthing on my desk & around it.
Somehow you & I have to spend less time on the computer, don't we? We're missing out on a lot of more important things. People who aren't addicted to this thing say, "Just get off the Internet." Easy for them to say isn't it?

TO BE HONEST WITH U I WISH I WAS STILL IN MY PJ'S. I HATE WAKING UP IN THE MORNING AND COMING TO WORK. I WAKE UP EVERY MORNING AROUND 5:30 A.M. I GET MY DAUGHTER READY FOR SCHOOL AS WELL AS MYSELF I MAKE BREAKFAST FOR HER. THAN I DRIVE HER TO SCHOOL AND MYSELF TO WORK. ITS HECTIC I WOULD LOVE TO BE HOME RIGHT NOW I WOULDN'T EVEN BE ON THE COMPUTER I WOULD BE STILL IN BED SLEEPING....PLUS I'M 6 MONTHS PREGNANT..I HAVE NO MOTIVATION ANYMORE. GETTING UP IN THE MORNING IS A JOB ALL IN ITSELF FOR ME.
