Just type up a letter of resignation stating what day will be your last. That way you won't burn any bridge by just up and quitting. Check out the site for samples.

Some things never really change... the old fashioned typed letter should be presented first - upfront. Then, depending on the terms that you are on, you can/should verbally elaborate. If you are uncomfortable doing so, then you still have done the proper thing. It is best that your letter be professional and free of negative comments about the company. You will want a favorable reference from them in the future.

What i did while in my first job was to write resignation letter in the form of a memo stating my reason for leaving giving them 2 week to find a replacement? I hope this will help you.

Submit a written letter to your boss. There is no reason to go into detail just say you are giving your two week notice.

You write a letter of resignation. Simple:

Nov. 21, 2006

Dear Mr. ________,

Please accept this as my official notice of resignation efective
__________(Insert date-it is customary to give 1 to 2 weeks notice).

Sincerely,

(your name)
