The assessed value of a tree will vary depending on its location. For example, a ginko in a park may be 1 of 1,000 trees. Its value will reflect this. However, if this tree is located a safe distance on the east side of a house, provides shading and energy savings, is a major component of the landscape, etc., its value will reflect this and be worth much more. Values can range from $1,000 or less to as high as $150,000 for a mature oak tree.

The only way to determine the cost to replace this tree is to contact an ISA Certified Arborist in your area and have them appraise the tree. You can find a Certified Arborist at www.isa-arbor.com, click on "find a certified arborist".

Here is some information about the process that a certified arborist will use to determine the value of a tree: http://www.hort.purdue.edu/ext/HO_201.pdf

These are common in the garden services. Wisteria, or
weeping cherry are a possible replacement. The use of
Ginko is growing more popular again in the latin areas. In
good condition they would be valued at 3000. In average
2,000. The care here could be near zero for only 1,000.

You would have to call an Arborist who specializes in moving large trees. It won't be cheap, and trying to move a tree that size manually would get someone hurt. Arborists use a machine to dig the new hole, dig the rootball out, lift it and place it in the new hole.
