I suspect, despite what they say, their private lives are pretty difficult. I mean, putting yourself in a profession like porn must lead to a lot of self-esteem, identity issues. Also, can you imagine walking down the street and everyone looking at you, talking about how you're the girl or guy who had sex with 20 different people in that movie? Ughh...I feel like I would always be ashamed and scared to go out in public....but then again, I suppose some porn stars wear their profession proudly on their sleeve..somehow. Most, however, probably struggle with it and end up in a not so happy place in life.

Surprisingly, many of them have very different private lives compared to their working life. Just because they have a profession such as this, does not mean they can't be good people.

They would be affected. They could still live a relatively normal life. Their jobs would affect them just as much as any job would, but it affects them in a different way.

Statistically, porn actors/actresses have a much higher rate of STDs, come from broken homes, are queer or lesbian, or suicidal. So, my guess would be that "normal' is not a term which applies to any part of their existence.
