CHANCER g, I DON'T BELIEVE YOU

Reading your answers reminds me that we all have frailties. I guess that's part of being human. I wish everyone success in overcoming their fears - even those that gave me a chuckle.

Making mistakes.
Choosing wrongly.
Not following the right path for my life.
Being insignificant.
Destroying what I care about.
Disappointing God.
Losing touch with the truth.

80% of the world people do not have clean running water. A basic human need, note NEED not want. I am afraid the rest of the world does not care at all. Plasma TV, ipods etc, dripping taps, wash the new car, burst pipes. As people unless the problem is on our door step its not our problem i am afraid.
I am afraid people will continue this way, giving to charity and maybe some hoping that someone else will deal with chronic lack of clean water. Just pause and consider this without water who ever you are you will die. Now put yourself in that position a moment and ask yourself what really matters?
I am afraid we don't care and compassion is a word never understood and easily forgotten.
This is my fear!

Bats. I took my daughter to Chester Zoo a couple of years ago, whilst there she insisted on going into the Bat house an I didn't want her to know that her daddy was scared of what are essentially winged rats. Obviously it was dark inside and the zoo keepers had done a good job in producing an environment that would keep them happy bats. Running diagonally across the house was what looked like a long washing line with the biggest bat I have ever seen hanging from it, it was like a large cat hanging upside down. I got so frightened that I squeezed my daughters' hand so hard that she started crying, I almost sprinted out of that place, knocking school kids flying in my attempts to get out

I can't think of anything that I am particularly Afraid of anymore... but almost Anything can cause a terrifying jolt in unexpected circumstances.

I guess I've finally experienced enough to realize that being afraid of something just calls it to me. If the worst happens, one simply deals with it the best way possible and being overwhelmed by fear takes away 90% of any ability to deal with the situation effectively.

In spite of knowing this, I still sputter, squeak and windmill like a mad thing when a spider gets in my hair! lol

I am afraid I will die before my daughter decides she wants to speak with me again. I have tried everything to end a family fued which was started by her spouse but to no avail. life is too short for silliness like this, but never the less that's what I'm afraid of.

The unknown - anything that cannot be understood or interpreted. With knowldge comes understanding and from understanding comes acceptance. By accepting what is really there you can overcome your fears and face anything.

Roaches. The way they never die. The way they run like 50 times their own body legnth in a second. The way when you move, their antennaes start wiggling. The way that some of them stand up on their legs. They are gross and ugly. It is the one true thing I am afraid of.
