you can take a thing of soapy water and slowly pour it on the air mattress it will bubble were the leak is at, from there you just mark it and dry it off, then put the patch on.

Just take a soapy cloth along the vinyl part (the outside), and make sure it's really soapy, fill it up and squeeze out the air, where the leak is it will bubble. If it's all vinyl you can do that all over, but if the top is like suede you can use plain water. Just let it dry thoroughly. Hope this helps. I do it this when I have an air leak in my tires of my car.

Have the room quiet and fill up the bed fully. Then lay on the bed and you'll be able to hear where it's coming from. Once you can kind of pinpoint the area, put your hand up and move it around until you feel the little bit of air coming out. That should do it, I've found holes in mine like that.

Most leaks occur around the air intake valve and not on the mattress. Unless you have a swimming pool you can place the mattress in and able to see the air bubbles, it's almost impossible to find the leaks. My advice is to replace the mattress.

Pump it up then run some water over it or submerge parts of it in the bath until you find the spot :D

Two Ways:
first: submerge the mattress in soap water.
second:
fill the mattress with a colored gas ..... if possible.
