I'm buying an rear IRS kit for my '67 VW bus and I was wondering what a heimed rear spring plate was, and how it would make my suspension move up and down more freely???

A "heim" is a spherical rod end joint, kind of like a bearing on the end of a rod to offer free motion. Its a good thing.. trust me! I used to design and build professional race cars for a living.

The term "heim" stuck because they were the first ones to make one. but there are many makers now, the most popular ones now are Aurora.
