Call his parents and ask if you can bring something.

If you show up with a dessert it could throw the planned dessert off. See, they probably have their entire dinner planned and will feel obligated to serve whatever you bring just to be nice.

I think a nice bottle of wine for them to share later is a nice thank you gift. Try that.

Call the Mom and ask if you could help out by bringing something, or if she needs something picked up on the way. More than likly they will say no. If She say no, Obey! Some people love their Holidays and Hosting events and want to get ALL the GLORY when its said and done. So let Mama have her day. Because if you do bring something, ANYTHING, and everyone likes it. "Oh, your pie is so good, i'm glad you brought it!" Meanwhile Mama is in the back pissed at you. But offer to help clean up, actually don't offer, just starting cleaning until She says stop. Lastly, send a thankyou card in the mail ASAP. You will be in like flint!

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://bitly.im/aMmLE

The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

Voila! I've got the perfect ideas: Bring sidings: Marshmallow Sweet Potatoes, or Sweet Cranberries in a bowl. Or for deserts:
Pecan Pie. and especially, Pumpkin Pie!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

First all families are different. Take something where you cannot go wrong. Something like a nice german chocolate cake or a nice pecan pie. These are just two items where you cannot go wrong. If they are Itialian of course if you took a nice bottle of chardonay wine, that would be acceptable. Try either a nice cake or a nice pie. Either would be ok.

I would ask what should I bring? If you don't want to ask then what I would do is this....bring a pie or a few 2 liters of pop. My sister in law brought me flowers once for Thanksgiving and another sister in law brought over a candle, these were gift for me to say thanks for cooking dinner.

The best thing to do is ask if there is something you could bring, perhaps a dessert . If you are told "no" and you still feel it necessary to bring something, bring a small hostess gift or fresh flowers.

If it was me first I would bring a hostess gift, a little flower arrangement or candle or something to that effect. For food perhaps a little horderve tray, cheese sausage etc... never can go wrong with that.

I agree with calling the host and asking if there is something you can bring - if the answer is no then bring a hostess gift - flowers etc.

You should have a short "break-up" period, say from this Wednesday till Saturday. That way you can't be introduced as "the girlfriend", and won't be obligated to impress (friends usually aren't).
