You could try wring them a really nice letter or a card and in it say that you were wondering when would be the best time for them to repay the money they borrowed from you. Say that Christmas is coming up and that the $400 would sure be handy right now.
Remember - you were the one who was doing a kindness for them and they are the ones who owe you money - don't feel bad for asking for it!
Good Luck, I hope you get the money back.

i've made the mistake of lending money to friends to and never seeing anything. which is sad because they are you friends and they're the owns that should always be there for you. But lending money is always a big issue i just wouldn't do it. But try telling your friends that you really need the money. Make up something serious. Hopefully they'll remember that they owe you money and you need it back. if not then at least you know what type of friend they are for next time.good luck

Probably not. In fact, I'd say that you will never see the balance they owe you. You can call and send all the emails you want to.....chances are they really have no intention of paying you back. Chalk it up to experience, and in the future don't loan out any more then you can afford to lose. It's sad that a friendship ended over money.

Don't bother, just don't lend any more money to him... He will eventually return the favor, in what way, we don't know but don't always give away money expecting it in return... either give it freely, or make a written agreement (most likely a promissory note) if not a legal contract of some sort. Be more careful next time.

Thats how more people lose friends.Never loan money out in that sum anyway. They moved, you are looking at a lost cause.Take it as a loss of money and surely not a friend.

look at it like this you will never have to worry about lending them anything else. if they were really your friends you wouldnt have to beg for your money back. charge it to the game and learn from your mistake, never lend friends money.

nope
you probably shouldn't loan money to friends.
Feed em, let em stay with you, cook dinner for em, maybe a few small loans too if you don't expect the money back.
