Steve Young played for the 49's after Joe Montana left.
He was a great-great-great grandson of Brigham Young in Utah.
His father played for BYU in the 50's, and Steve Young was one in a long list of great quarterbacks from BYU. He is certainly the best of that group.

Steve Young played for:
BYU in college:
The Los Angeles Express in the old USFL
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL
He was then traded to San Francisco and played for the 49ers.
Steve Young isn't even the best 49er QB ever. Lighten up with the man crush.

Came into the pros with the Los Angeles Express in the old USFL. Went to Tampa Bay for a few years...where he wore that lovely orange...before finally succeeding with the 49ers.
