Alot of it is actually believable and makes sense. unfortunately, I don't think anyone will ever know the whole and entire truth. :o(

i am a practicing roman catholic. i do realize that while this is a work of fiction, it does seem plausible. you must remember that during the time of Jesus, is was considerably rare for a man not to marry and have children. the point of the novel is to see things from another point of view. while not politically correct, it is an entertaining novel and the movie does it justice. of course, you must also remember, as pointed out in the movie and book and so true, the church as is today was generally condensed by the emperor Constantine.

the davinci code is a fiction story, though loosely based on facts. its told in a convincing and extremely dramatic fashion that leaves audiences convinced and hanging on its every word. certain things were real, and revealed, but a lot of it can and can not be proved

There are facts. Like the Templar Knights. But for such a huge conspiracy to hold together you need too much secracy.

After doing my own research I have to say I do believe some of it, and for those that are so quick to judge, I am a Christian, and I feel that God helped guide me in my studies and before you are so quick to judge and persecute maybe you should pray about your hearts, and ask God if he gave you the authority to judge. My heart goes out to those that judge in ignorance and call it in name of the Lord. Look at the facts and pray about them its amazing what God shows you when you ask him for his Divine guidance.
Have a GREAT day and God Bless

I don't have any religious beliefs so maybe that makes it easier for me to say that some of it might be true. Or that I wouldn't be as close minded to the thought that some it were true. Great read though and I would recommend everyone to read it.
